During a week, 14 students and nine teachers will be guests at the upper secondary school Vipan, where they will work and discuss migration issues. They come from five countries – Latvia, Poland, Germany, Italy and Turkey.It is part of the EU-funded project Global Learning for Mind and Heart. Vip teacher Martin Martinez and Rique is hosting Lund and driving in Lundadelen of the project.
– The participating countries have different themes. Last year at this time we were in Poland, where we worked with entrepreneurship. Sweden’s subject is migration, he says.
On Tuesday, a major conference on Vipan on theme migration will be held. The foreign guests participate, as well as a host of teachers from all over Sweden and researchers from Lund University and Malmö University.
The students in the project attend the conference directly from an overnight stay in Skrylle.
– It has spent the afternoon and night there to weld together the gang. They are going to play different learn-to-know games. On site there are scouts who take care of them, says Martin Martinez and Rique.
On Monday, students and teachers were welcomed by Lund’s “mayor” Lennart Prytz at a ceremony in the City Hall.
A Skånesa and a trip to Copenhagen are also on schedule during the week.
